It is not surprising that the southern half of the island was appointed a world cultural heritage. Almost as eastern gate to the world cultural heritage you will find Eksgården originally and partly still a farmstead from the 18. From Eksgården you can go for walks in the Alvar - the singular prairy-eilce heath landscape - and be alone for hours in and with nature. Perhaps you even want to try some wild-west-riding? That can be done. Perhaps you rather take a romantic journey in a horse carriage? The peak of the season is the "Ernetfestival" witch take place end of September and is visited by nearly a half a million people. On 28 September Eksgården organizes the traditional ox market, where regional and oelaendion specialities of the mother earth and the sea are offered. We have 60 beds in three alternatives: Our shop also belongs to the experience package. Here we sell unique Swedish arts- and craft products: Carpentry, ceramic(s), forging goods, textiles, designed clothes, for the island typical jams, vinegar made of herbs from Öland among others.: www.eksgarden.nu. Our pub offers you specialities from Öland. In the restaurant you can take the opportunity to examine the boots of the farmers rebel Nils Dacke from Småland. Eksgården is particularly suitable for conferences. We gladly organice the conference according to your personal wishes. We have monthly weekend courses with e.g. Ayurveda, Feldenkreismethod, Reflexzonentherapy, cosmetik and healthy eating, i.e. we take care of your outer and inner beauty.
